Superfrost PlusŪ and Colorfrost PlusŪ slides are made by a process that allows tissue sections to adhere better to the slide without the need for adhesives or protein coatings. They also help improve tissue adherence in microwave staining. Cytologic preparations placed on these slides resist cell loss during enzyme digestion, DNA denaturation and RNA hybridization.

The Superfrost PlusŪ and Colorfrost PlusŪ frosted coatings take and retain most laboratory marking methods. The raised coating separates slides to help eliminate sticking, scratching or abrasion.
