Description Dermatonin is a constant-release melatonin implant for dogs that is indicated for the treatment of Alopecia X and seasonal flank alopecia. The implant form eliminates the need for twice-daily dosing and provides a consistent level of melatonin for maximum effectiveness. Implants are packaged in a gas-sterilized, pre-loaded, disposable, implanting device that uses a 12-gauge needle to administer the product subcutaneously, similar to microchips. Each implant consistently administers melatonin for approximately 4 to 6 months. Shelf life is 2 years and refrigeration not required, but the product must be keep out of direct UV light.
