Curix Ortho Regular Cassette and Screen Combinations
Lightweight, durable, easy-to-use cassettes offering maximum patient comfort.
Key benefits
Excellent diagnostic results.
Lightweight but durable.
Made of Novodur, for optimum patient comfort.
Innovative design for ease of use.
Dedicated mammography cassette available
The CURIX Cassettes combine reliability, durability, comfort and minimum weight in one cassette. They are made from Novodur, an extremely tough but light plastic, which feels warm and soft to the patient. Rounded edges increase patient comfort even further. What's more, the Novodur makes the cassettes 25% lighter than metal cassettes.
CURIX cassettes are easy for staff to handle, and open 270º for easy loading and unloading. At the same time, they provide excellent diagnostic results.
Built to last
The cassettes are long-lasting and shockproof, thanks to a careful design and rubber corners that absorb shocks.
User-friendly
With the countersunk relief dot on the cassette you can clearly tell, in or out of the darkroom, whether the cassette is loaded with film.
Daylight identification
The ID window enables you to label the film in the cassette with patient data. You can use dedicated patient identification equipment from Agfa HealthCare, such as the CURIX ID camera or the DIGID 2000 (M), to do this in broad daylight. CURIX Cassettes can be equipped with either a European-standard or an American-standard ID window. Cassettes without a window are also available for use with darkroom ID printers.
Optimal film/screen contact
The magnetic sandwich (steel foil on the tube side and magnetic sheet on the rear) extracts entrapped air as you close the cassette. This ensures optimal contact between the screens and film.
Dedicated mammography assortment
A specially designed mammography cassette with an optimized film-thorax distance is also available. The edge of the film and the intensifying screen fit closely to the chest wall - less than 2 mm away - increasing the amount of diagnostic information.
