Fast, Accurate Results - Handheld Brix 85 Digital Refractometer uses a stainless steel measuring well and sapphire optics to provide outstanding precision when determining the consistency of narcotics and controlled substances. Meter delivers results within five seconds. Fentanyl Compatible - Pharmaceutical lab instrument has the capability to measure Fentanyl. Easy to Read in Multiple Languages - Large LCD display is easy to read and offers five language options: English, French, Spanish, German and Russian. Units of measure include Brix and Refractive Index (nD). Range: 0.0 to 85.0 Brix (or 1.3330 to 1.5040nD) Resolution is 0.1 Brix (0.0001nD) Accuracy: +/- 0.1 Brix (+/-0.0001nD) Operating temp range: 32 to 122ºF (0 to 50ºC) Minimum sample volume is 0.3mL. Dust and Water-resistant Design - Durable design guards against liquid and dust penetration, while the prism cover helps prevent sample evaporation and protects the sapphire measuring surface from damage. Easy-to-use interface consists of only two buttons, which provide tactile feedback to operator when pressed. Requires two AAA batteries (included). Unit should be cleaned with a clean soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water after each use. Includes individually serial-numbered NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) certificate to assure accuracy. Yearly calibration is recommended. Recalibration is the customer’s responsibility.
