Active Ingredient clindamycin hydrochloride Description This is a one-time application for dogs and cats with anal sac disease. Infused into anal sacs, ClinzGard NS gel thickens at body temperature and stays in place for 7-10 days while acting as a barrier against bacteria and releasing clindamycin HCl. It is then bioreabsorbed by the body and eliminated through normal metabolic means. No removal necessary. Pre-filled 2-mL syringes require no mixing, and the specialized blunt nose cannula tip allows application into anal sacs, bite or puncture wounds, tissue abscesses and lacerations. Product does not need to be refrigerated and has a 2-year shelf life at controlled room temperature.
